Last evening Ambassador and Mrs. DeLisi invited us to attend a recital by Pianist Roman Rudnytsky at their residence. Beforehand, staff circulated with drinks and delectable appetizers, jewelry clinked on glasses and dignitaries chit-chatted. Ambassador DeLisi introduced Mr. Rudnytsky, who then summarized what his performance was to be. The music was incredible, Roman playing simply by memory all of the pieces by Schubert, Beethoven, and Gottschalk, among others. Ambassador DeLisi had many people of repute in attendance (we are not counted among them:) ), and they all seemed to enjoy it. The dinner afterwards was equally excellent.
Did I take the red pill? I think so.
