Thanksgiving at Hearthwood

We had another wonderful Thanksgiving at the Kathy & Bob’s, with family and friends all around. I love the huge family dinners where a dish won’t necessarily make it all the way around the table.
I made pumpkin ice cream, virgin and with rum. The virgin stuff turned out PERFECT, though the rum was too much for the second batch. Josh ended up making a few rum pumpkin smoothies, which were just as good.
The next day we had some friends over for dinner and games; I made smoked chicken, one of my favorites of late…
Justin and I rounded up some green oak for next years’ fireplaces today, as well as some leaves from his and Holly’s yard today. Of course, said fall yardwork wouldn’t be complete without a dram of scotch:)
