Dark Side of the Moon

This week has been pretty nuts. I’m on a project upgrading Whole Foods Market’s (Mid Atlantic Region) Macintosh computers to Mac OS X 10.4 over the internet. We remote in, back up the data, push a button, and wait six hours for the install to do it’s thing and for the computer to come back around…like the astronauts going around the dark side of the moon…

Of course Jean probably had the rouger end of it. We would do the work, ending around 3 in the morning, while Jean was feeding Merrill and Lucas and trying to put them to bed. Probably worse than me being out of town.
Merrill is over a month old now, and growing like mad. Winter is still here, and our firewood is dwindling. I may have to cut more before it’s all said and done.
I hear my sis’, Rebecca, is doing well in Colorado. Or at least when she called me for computer support last week she was:) That’s how I keep in touch with family members – “when was the last time we upgraded your Mac OS?”
Looking forward to spring…
